The Czech language courses for the general public are organised in cooperation with the Czech Centre Brussels.
The evening Czech courses are designed for learners at various levels of proficiency. While many of our students aim to improve their Czech skills for personal reasons, we also welcome language enthusiasts eager to learn a challenging Slavic language.
Students in the evening public courses are divided into three levels:
- N1 – Beginners (level A0)
- N2 – Intermediate (levels A1-A2)
- N3 – Advanced (levels A2-B1)
The courses employ the communicative method, emphasizing interaction and the development of speaking skills for everyday situations. The core teaching materials are based on the Čeština Expres and Czech Step-by-Step methods. However, the content is tailored to meet the specific needs of our students.
Depending on demand, we offer both online courses and face-to-face courses at the ULB Solbosch campus.
Courses run for two semesters at the same level, starting at the end of September and the beginning of February. Enrollment for the 1st semester begins in mid-August, and for the 2nd semester in January.
